Who we are
We are a company from the precision metalworking industry, working since 1977.
We conceive, develop, design and manufacture high quality automatic and manual cutting, stamping and transfer tools for the production of all types of parts or components, especially metallic ones.
Our core business is creating tools for companies in the automobile and thermodomestic sectors. We also have extensive experience in the ironmongery, civil construction and agricultural sectors.
Over 65% of our turnover is for exportation.
History of the Company
1977
Moldicorte was created on June 22, 1977, having as its original denomination the individual name of its founding partner (Agostinho Tavares), who had been operating since 1969.
2002
Moldicorte celebrated its 25th anniversary with all its employees and older partners (customers and suppliers). It was an important celebration because, in addition to the symbolism of celebrating an anniversary, it allowed us to honour the collaborators and partners who have been with us since the beginning.
Moreover, Moldicorte transfers its headquarters and industrial unit to a new space, located in the North Industrial Zone - Travassô - Águeda.
At the same time, it obtains its certification, according to the ISO9001:2000 norm, becoming the first company in Águeda and one of the first companies of this sector in the country with such certification.
Finally, the brand MOLDICORTE is registered.

2009
Convinced we were adding great value to the company, we made the transition from ISO9001:2000 to ISO9001:2008.
2010 a 2014
We started a new cycle of investments in the infrastructure sector, Technology and Machinery, highlighting the investment in 3D measuring equipment, in more CNC machining centres, and the acquisition of a larger testing press. All this, in addition to allowing us to better satisfy the needs of our customers, has also provided us with new abilities to embrace new projects.
2015
Having the improvement of our management and quality management as the main purpose, we made the transition from ISO9001:2008 to ISO9001:2015, fully integrating both systems.
2016
Always looking for continuous improvement both in our processes and in our products, we maintained the investment in our machine park, this time with 2 new CNC machining centres, one of which is extremely complete and equipped with all kinds of grinding machines.
2017
We mark the 40th anniversary of Moldicorte with multiple activities and gathering. We continue to focus on renewing our machinery and equipment park, with various acquisitions over the years.
2018
Moldicorte is distinguished for the first time as a PME leader.
2019
Moldicorte is distinguished with the Excellence PME award.
2020
We renewed the machine park, highlighting the acquisition of a new CNC lathe.
2021
We are recognized as an innovative company, being awarded the status of COTEC innovative company.
2022
We created a new brand to differentiate the products produced.
We computerized the entire production process, having invested in specific hardware and software for the entire production with integrated management.
2023
Created the Gailutek brand.
